Shiva and I left the ragging room and set for classes. On the way, the tall guy called us from back.
"Hey, you... wait."
We turned back and saw the tall guy coming towards us.
"Hey, I am sorry guys. I was helpless. you know !. If I would not have send you, then the seniors would kill me." the guy told us.
"Its okay. No problem." Shiva replied.
"Anyways, I am Rahul". The guy said and gave his hands for shake. We introduced ourselves and shook our hands. "So, Friends. Right? Don't keep grudge on me." He smiled and continued
"I need to find some freshers at that time. Else, You know. And, don't tell me that you didn't enjoy that. We are going to attend classes for the next four years and this is going to be tough. So let's enjoy the ragging now."
We got surprised by his thought but his cheerfulness and daring attitude boost our confidence. We reached our classes and the boring classes continued for next 4 hours.
That day, nobody knew that one single meet will be transformed into a life long bond. After one hectic day of ragging, induction and classes, we reached our hostel "Hall of Residence 6". It is a three storied building with two wings, east and west. Each wing has cell type of structure having four blocks forming a square and each block has rooms facing each other. There is a ground inside, enclosed by the blocks. The rooms that are faced towards the ground are even numbered and the ones that are opposite to them are odd numbered. There is a corridor separating the even and odd numbered rooms. This structure provides dual benefit. The first is nobody can see the ground from the even numbered rooms. One has to go to the ground or to be in odd numbered room to see the happenings of the ground. The second is that the three storied building absorbs everything that happened in the ground in its big-heart.
Shiva and I are alloted odd numbered rooms in the east wing and when we reached hostel, we figured out that Rahul's room is exactly in between and in front of our rooms. Mathematically, if we draw straight lines joining all the three rooms, it would form an equilateral triangle.
